Dougans International supports the International Academy of Reflexology & Meridian Therapy in the delivery of a Diploma in Therapeutic Reflexology. In 2001, Therapeutic Reflexology became a registered allied health profession in South Africa under the Allied Health Professions Act and a minimum requirement for a qualification allowing for full registration as a Therapeutic Reflexologist was set at a 240 credits, NQF level 5, diploma.

The International Academy of Reflexology & Meridian Therapy delivers all the modules in their Diploma in Therapeutic Reflexology via Distance E-Learning. Compulsory skills and knowledge must be supported with “hands-on” tuition by qualified lecturers and students have the option of either attending weekly tutoring sessions or a workshop during each module.

All teaching materials are prepared and supplied by Dougans International. Furthermore Dougans International assists the Academy with IT support and development, and is responsible for the Learner Management System (LMS) used to facilitate the delivery of the programme.
